There is a lot of information to be found in Hempstead County, Arkansas on the Stuarts, Conways, Hopson and allied families. The Southwest Archives at Washington, Hempstead County, Arkansas is another source. The town of Washington is being made into a State Park. They have guided tours by the Rangers which are helpful. There is an old cemetery east of Town that recently they have cleared the trees and underbrush outside the fenced area and found several more graves (2006).
