MY LANE FAMILY

I had assumed that having lived in Par since at least 1841 my family were Cornish. However, after nearly ten years of research I have found out that my ancestors actually originated from Clawton in Devon.

Following the above article, he was sentenced to 10 years transportation. Left Plymouth aboard the Sultana on 26 MAY 1859. Granted a conditional pardon on 15 JUN 1861 in Perth. Died in 1876

Samuel George Lane (known as George) married Violet May Carrivick on 5 JUN 1915 in Leekseed Methodist Chapel, St Blazey Gate.
(Around 1940/1 they moved from Par Farm to Vernon Villas, St Blazey. Around 1955/6 they moved from there to the bottom flat of 9 Penarwyn Road, St Blazey)
(George died on 16 MAR 1965 and his ashes are in St Mary's Churchyard, St Blazey Gate)
( Following George's death, Violet moved across the road to the top flat of number 11 or 13 Penarwyn Road. After about three years she moved to 25 Lesnewth Road)
