By this point, Commissioners Isaac Shelby and Andrew Jackson had purchased the Chickasaw Hunting Grounds (on October 19, 1818). Four counties were created out of it by 1825:

(77) McCracken
(75) Graves County
(73) Calloway County
(70) Hickman County.


By 1837 there were a total of 87 counties in the state of Kentucky.

A, B, C is land from (51) Caldwell County to (69) Trigg County in 1825,'26, '27;
D is land from (40) Ohio County to (58) Daviess County in 1830;
E is land from (40) Ohio County to (38) Breckinridge County in 1831;
F is land from (25) Warren County to (31) Barren County in 1827;
G and H are lands from (31) Barren and (67) Monroe counties to (57)Allen County in 1825;
I is land from (20) Cumberland County to (67) Monroe Co in 1830;
J and K are lands from (30) Pulaski County to (59) Whitley and (41)Wayne counties in 1826 and 1831;
L is land from (42) Knox County to (81)Laurel County in 1834;
M and N are lands from (62) Owen and (35) Henry counties to (18) Franklin County in 1827;
P is land from (32) Boone County to (34) Gallatin County in 1837;
Q is land from (17) Harrison County to (65) Grant County in 1827;
R is land from (22) Bracken County to (17) Harrison County in 1834;
S is land from (33) Fleming County to (39) Nicholas County in 1824;
