Marie Carolyn LINDERHOLM

All: Marie and Dean both buried at Forest Lawn in Glendale,Ca. Marie was a High School teacher early in her career.


Frank LINDERHOLM

All: source is Philip Learn Knoll and Marie Carolyn Brown.


Clara Eleanora WELTZIN

All: Clara was born at home on the farm near Primrose Village. Source is fam bible and obituary. Funeral services for Clara were held at the Linderholm home, First Lutheran Church and she was buried in Zion Cem. In 1892 she was confirmed in the St.Ansgar Lutheran church by Rev. O.T. Berge. There is probably a half-brother George (Jorgen) through her fathers' Ist wife. He lived in Cadott, WI in 1941. After her father died, she came to South Dakota with her mother, three sisters and one brother. The family settled on a farm three miles northeast of Colton. In 1892 she was confirmed in the St. Ansgar Lutheran church by Rev. O.T. Berge. One of her sisters--Maria or Sophia(I don"t know which one), married a Mr. Jim Grinde of Colton. She had a brother-George Weltzin--probably a half brother through her father's 1st wife . He was named Jorgen.


Peter LEARN

He was a Methodist Lay Minister. Peter was sealed by error to Asa Learn in 2 Jun 1970 LANGE. 1881 census shows Peter and Mary and 2 Kids Eva and Hershey as belonging to the United Brethren religion and being of German ethnic origin. The kids were going to school and Peter was a farmer.


Mary HERSHEY

She is the daughter of 3 generations of Mennonite Bishops.


Raymond TIBBETS

All: Raymond died in China in service--WW2. He went into the Army early and contracted spinal meningitus in China and somewhere in Chungking China there was a memorial put up for him. He later was sent home and a funeral took place at the Fairhaven cemetery in Orange where most of the family is buried.


John G. WILLSON

1881 census for Crowland says he was a member of the Church of England.


Catharine MISENER

CATHARINE MISENER DIED GIVING BIRTH TO TWIN GIRLS,ONE OF WHICH WAS MY MOTHER'S
MOTHER--FLORENCE AZUBRA CATHERINE WILLSON. THE BABY FLORENCE WAS ONLY 2 POUNDS
AND THEY PUT HER IN A SHOE BOX AND SET IT ON THE KITCHEN OVEN DOOR TO KEEP HER
ALIVE. THE OTHER TWIN WAS A GIRL ALSO AND WAS STILLBORN.

The second child in this family of John Willson and Catharine Misener

is a twin sister to the first child. The second child was said to be stillborn.
The first child was my maternal grandmother. She weighed 2 pounds and
they did not have incubators in those days so they put her in a shoe box
and set her on the oven door. As the mother Catherine had died in
childbirth, the baby Florence Catharine Azubra Willson was raised by
her aunt Sarah Jane Misener. The father John Willson remarried about
6 years later in 1877 to Mary Jane "Jenny" McGlashan.

Juliane Kirstine NISSEN

CHRISTENING: This was a baptism.

All: Went to Denmark with parents in 1914. Returned from Denmark in 7 Feb 1915. Arrived aboard Frederik VIII 20 Feb 1915---Ellis Island and returned to Nevada, Missouri. Moved to Granad Junction, Colo. Her daughter Jeanne (Blower) Tibbets says they could not return until AFTER WWI. The ship in 1914 was the AQUITANIA.
