Robert died in 39553 zip code. Robert was at one time stationed at Putaxant,MD in the Navy . He was a CPO(cheif Petty Officer)aviation mechanic. He was later stationed at Pt. Mugu,Ca. His wife and He lived there about 1960. They were probably divorced about 1963-64. They probably originally met in Mississippi. Phyliss may have visited Louisiana(New Orleans) with her mother Freyda. Phyllis says she received the following from her 1st cousin Helen who is deceased now: " great-grandfather was Louis Obermeyer of Cinn. Ohio. His father was Simon Obermeyer of Bavaria, Germany . Simon's wife was Hannah Kohen. Helen goes on to say her great-grandmothers were Samantha Jane Goodin of Cumberland , Maryland--whom she gets her middle name from and another great-grandmother was Mary Jane Hammond and another great-grandmother was Malcha Shipley from Wales. So I think Helen was Helen Jane Obermeyer. My guess is that she was a daughter of Clifford Obermeyer.
All: Phyllis died of a stroke. She had the stroke and laid on the floor for 5 days when a neighbor found her. She was taken to the hospital and died a week later. Her friend-Father Gene Flatley had died 2 mos. earlier of cancer. This info from Gene's nephew---Tim Flatley in Milwaukee, WI--(414) 332-9300. There were no children in the marriage of Phyllis and Bob Dierlam. Bob and Phyllis lived a long time at Point Mugu, Ca. because Bob was stationed in the Navy. He had joined as a young man in about 1933. Some of this info is from my brother Bob. Phyllis and Bob Dierlam stayed a week at my brother Bobs' house in Canoga Park in about 1965. In her 1st marriage, it was annulled by her father after a short time. Phyllis and I are both named for our beloved grandfather Philip Godfrey Knoll.
