Merle at one time was a custodian at Peralta Jr. High in Orange at Philip Learn Knoll's school where he taught. Myrle's wife Olivet is 1st cousin twice removed to Phil. Phil took his mother to meet them a couple of times. His mother remembers Olivet when she was a little girl.
Grandmother Melissa Catherine Ott raised Lloyd Clifford until child was about 10 years and Olivet and Myrle married. Lloyd was their child however. So says stepdaughter Shirely.
