One of the many things my father shared with me was his interest in his family roots. He planted the seed that has become my addiction, Genealogy. I will always remember long talks with him about new discoveries and the excitement it brought both of us.
Much of the information contained on these pages has been shared with me by numerous other researches. I probably cannot mention them all but my thanks to Bill Childs for all the Chiles/Childs/Hord and Crask data, Rebecca Crask for her extensive family research at www.craskfiles.com. Debi Young for the William Anderson family, Sallye VanDyne for getting me around a brickwall in the Kuykendall family. Janice Castleman for the Gough/Goff family. Betty Kuykendall Price for her theories on Richmond Kuykendall.
The ancestry report uses 'Ahnentafel' numbering. This means that the numbers for a person's parents will be twice as large as that person's number. For example, if a woman's number is 15, her father will be number 30, and her mother will be 31. Her child will be number 7.
