Indiana/Colorado/California
Robert A. Baker came to the United States in about 1860. He was born in some part of Switzerland about 1845. He married Mary E. McSheehy who was born in Cork County, Ireland. He was her second husband. Her first was William Barkhausen. Robert and Mary Baker had four or five children: Ray, Edwin, Margaret, Ella and/or Nellie, and Elizabeth Baker. I'm looking for more information about them. The children lived in Denver, California, after 1900. One of the daughters (Julia Barkhausen) from the 1st marriage married a Thomas J. Hanrahan. They lived in Denver and most of the Baker children lived with them. My great grandfather Robert A. Baker's son Edwin A. Baker was my grandfather. He married Winifred Waldo. Their son was Ted Edwin Baker who was born in Denver and is my father.
