(Dr. Anderson D. Rice was a practicing physician of Dallas from 1848. He was married in Dallas to A. F. Russell on 6/24/1852. After her death, he was married on 6/26/1856 to Mrs. Zeriah Beeler Dillon. He was County Treasurer from 1852-1854 & was the second Mayor of Dallas in 1858. He served throughout the War between the States as surgeon with the rank of Capt. No stone.)
