Jonathan WRIGHT and Mary Jane BAILEY lived in Mitchell County, North Carolina. They moved to Dickenson County, Virginia around 1836. They were the first permanent settlers in the town of Clinchco. They had nine children. One of their children was John B. WRIGHT.
John B. WRIGHT was born August 15, 1830 in North Carolina He married Nancy J. DEEL on April 15, 1852. John WRIGHT died on March 28, 1916. They had four sons that are known.

Solomon E. WRIGHT married Victoria GIBSON. She was the daughter of William and Sabrina GIBSON. Victoria died in 1888 and Solomon married Lurinda ANDERSON. Lurinda was the daughter of Charles ANDERSON and Matilda COLLEY. Matilda was the daughter of Richard and Crissa COLLEY. Solomon WRIGHT had nine children.
Flora McIvory born July 10, 1875 and died April 13, 1940. She married Joshua Edwards-son of A.J. and Crissie EDWARDS.
Martha Alice born August 10, 1878 and died May 7, 1946. She married David W. EDWARDS-son of A.J. and Crissie EDWARDS.
John born 1880. He married Lydia Sutherland.
