The following short details are taken from extracts giving the names of paupers in the Minutes of the Board of Guardians of Stamford Workhouse. The meetings were usually held weekly and the date of each meeting is given.

On the 1851 census, Susannah Dawson is shown as daughter of Joseph & Arabella Dawson but from the above details, I suspect she was the illegitimate daughter of Martha Dawson, daughter of Joseph & Arabella Dawson.
