Personal remarks: Mr. Loewenheim was very much interested in music and was also
an avid fine arts collector. He gave two important paintings to the Muse de
Joliette. During his life time, he did everything possible to further cultural
exchanges between Austria and Quebec, and all Austrian artists and musicians
who passed through Montreal were always entertained in his house.

Through his interests and friends, Mr. Loewenheim was able to create a real
exchange between the governments of Quebec and Austria during his life time. He
never missed an opportunity to show off the many different, wonderful aspects
of Austrian life.
