From Judy SCHIFF:
Rosa Sobotka was born on 18 June 1853 in Prague. Her father was Abraham Sobotka
(son of Josef Sobotka and Sara [I can't yet decipher Sara's maiden name, though
I have a photo of the register entry]) and Luise Jeiteles. This Luise, it turns
out (and I will explain the reason later) was the same person as Elisabeth
Jeiteles (born 5 March 1812), daughter of Samuel Lw Jeiteles and Rebeka
Schulhof. Rosa was the ninth child of Abraham and Elisabeth (who married on 1
November 1840). She was a niece of Barbara (Babette) Schifferes (ne Jeiteles)
(MY GREAT-GREAT GRANDMOTHER, WHO WAS THE MOTHER OF BOTH OF MY
GREAT-GRANDFATHERS, SAMUEL AND LEOPOLD SCHIFFERES)and thus a first cousin of
Leopold (MY GREAT-GRANDFATHER). At the same time, she was a niece of Samuel
Marcus Jeiteles and therefore also a first cousin of Hermine Jeiteles (MY
GREAT-GRANDMOTHER, WHO WAS THE WIFE OF LEOPOLD SCHIFFERES).

Hildesheim Stadtarchiv (26.8.02)"In the records of the Hildesheim Town archive
the name Wangenheim/Wangenreim appears very often. The keyword index revealed
that Israel Cohen Wangenheim/Wangenreuim, Tuchpresser (cloth-presser ?) and
Decateur, lived in Pattensen before he moved to Hildesheim. He was married to
Betty, nee Wolff. He had at least 6 children. In an inhabitants list of 111 his
age was given as 31 and the age of his wife Betty as 23 years.

In Inventory 101-953 Nr. 1 (Regulations about the grant of public houses) I
found the following information, that will certainly further help you. In the
approval of 19 February 1814 for Cohn Wangenreim for the operation of a
public house it mentions " that the petitioner had falsely called himself
Wangenheim. The same person is called WANGENREIM. The family of Wangenheim in
Hannover has already previously dealt with this complaint, Wangenreim has
already been instructed several times that in the future not to call himself
and write Wangenheim, upon failure of which he would be punished according to
the law. Demohngeachtet hat derselbe sich des Namens Wangenheim gedient_" [I
could not understand this but maybe __. Outlawed that he uses the name
Wangenheim ...]

Also in 1827 Ludwig Wangenheim/Wangenreim, son of Israel Cohen
Wangenheim/Wangenreim, should be pulled up to answer for forbiden useage of
the name Wangenheim (allowed Wangenreim).
