The State of Texas }
Polk County
} Know all men by these presents that I William P. Sansom of
the County and State aforesaid Being of Sound disposing Mind and
Memory do make and Publish this my last Will and Testament.
First - I give and bequeath to my beloved Wife, Mary Ann Sansom,
all of my Estate, real and personal, towit;
Two hundred and four acres of land being a part of John Watts headright
League and all of my unsold headright Survey all being Situated in the
aforesaid County of Polk and all horses, Jacks, mules, Cows or Cattle,
Sheep, hogs and also all promissory notes that may be owing or demands,
and all the rest and residue of my personal property after paying for the
same the several demands that may be against me.
Second - The above bequeath to my beloved wife, Mary Ann Sansom, is
to be in force as long as she shall remain unmarried and my Widow. But
on her decease or marriage, the remainder thereof I Give and devise to
my heirs respectively to be divided in Equal Shares between them after
a Sufficient portion of Said Estate is Set apart for the rearing and
Educating of the Minor heirs.
Third - I ordain and appoint my Dear beloved Wife, Mary Ann Sansom,
my Execturix and William B. Hardin my Executor in Conjunction of any of
any Estate to sell and Convey the Same as they may think Best for the Support
and Education of my Children without an order from the Probate Court as
I wish the Court to have no Control over my Estate further than
the Laws may have made necessary and I further Exempt my said Executrix
and Executor from Executing any Bond to the Probate Court for the faithful
performance of their duty. In testimony wherein I have hereunto Set
my hand and Seal using a Scroll instead of a Seal and
publish declare this to be my last Will and testament in the presence
of the Wittness named below this the 18th day of May in the year of our
Lord 1858.

Pesonally appeared in Open Court C. Holshousen one of the Subscribing
Witnesses of the last Will and Testament of William P.Sansom late of Polk
County deceased which said Will is hereto annexed who being duly Sworn
on Oath Says that he Saw said William P. Sansom decd. Subscribe and Execute
the same as his last Will and Testament and requested said
affiant to Subscribe the Same as a Witness thereto.
