War Dept Sends Message of Death of Cpl Paul Galloway
"Mr. and Mrs. Harvey D. Galloway recieved a message Friday from the War Department stating that their son, Cpl Paul Galloway, 28, had died of wounds March 8 in Italy.  They recieved a letter from him Monday, written March 7, in which he said that he was all right, and for them not to worry about him.
Cpl Galloway had been in service since March 5,1942 and over-seas since August of the same year.  He received his training at Camp Hulen, Palacios, took part in the North African and Sicilian campaigns, the Anzio landing and was with the Fifth Army in northern Italy when killed.
Besides his parents, he is survived by two brothers: D. Mack Galloway, U.S. Navy in the Pacific and Victor Galloway of Houston."
