"Mrs. Leornora Helen Stevens Garvey passed away at the age of  72 on Nov. 3, 1946, at the family residence in Livingston following a lingering illness.  Mrs. Garvey was born Dec. 6, 1873, in Chambers County, and came to Polk County when an infant, where she resided continuously since that time.  Her mother, Mrs. Leorora Helen Stevens, passed away when Mrs.Garvey was three days of age and she was brought to Livingston by her father, Osburn Stevens, where she was reared by her aunt, Mrs. Georgia Ann Sprott. 
    The deceased was a member of the First Methodist church of Livingston and also a member of the Methodist Missionary Society of that church.  She joined the church in her early youth and was an active worker in the Methodist church up to the time that her health failed several years ago. 
    Funeral services were held at the family residence  in Livingston at 3 p. m., Nov. 4, with Rev.
