Native of Polk Co. "Mrs. Galloway spent her life in Polk County; the last twenty six years in Leggett. She was a faithful member of the Methodist Church. "Survivors include one son: W.B. Galloway of Leggett; one daughter: Mrs. Audry Davis of Houston; two brothers: Marshall and James Gaylord of Livingston; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. "Funeral services were held at the chapel of the Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, Tuesday afternoon, May 10, 1949. Rev. J. L. Buckley, pastor of the Leggett Methodist Church, officiated. Interment followed in the Peebles Cemetery, where she was laid to rest beside her late husband in the family plot. "Serving as pallbearers were: Clinton Coker, Horace Beaty, Garnett Galloway, S. C. Laird, Dewey Galloway, I.T. Smith, and Douglas Galloway." |
