Location:  Pine Ridge Cemetery Road – The way to the cemetery is marked with highway signs on
the highway and cross roads.  From Highway 59 at Leggett, take FM 942 East 11 miles to Farm
Road 2500, take a left on the dirt road (2500 Ext. Road).  Three and half miles on the dirt road
(crossing the Upper Leggett Road), the road comes almost to a “Y” in the road, take the dirt road
to the right (.5 miles on this road).

Pine Ridge Cemetery was patented on September 18, 1944 by Nathaniel R. Hickman Jr,
Noll Hickman and Willie Taylor as “Hickman Cemetery”, Tract 18, H. & T. C. on 2.3 acres.
This is documented in the Texas General Land Records.

The  marked grave next to Bartley Hickman is probably his wife Barsheba Hickman.
She was born January of 1822 and died after 1910.

Jane Roe Hickman who was married to James B. Hickman and to Asa Hickman is probably
buried here in a marked/unidentified grave since both of her husbands are buried  here.

Hezekiah K. “Tye” Hickman is probably buried in one of the marked/unidentified graves.
His parents, his brothers, his sister, his wife and some of his children are buried here.

There are marked/unidentified (PVC crosses) graves in the northeast corner of the cemetery.
It is known that those graves are “Runnels” family graves and there could possibly be more than
4 graves there.  Below is the list of Runnels Family members who are thought to be buried here.
