Some families know a great deal about their roots; others know very little. This site is an attempt to record what I've learned about my family history. In these modern times, families tend to be scattered all over the country, if not the world. One of the goals of this web site is to help you to find and record your own family history.
My name is Tim Camp. I am the son of Ralph Walter Camp and Lillian Izora Faulk Camp and this web site is dedicated to their memory.
After the death of my parents, I realized that I knew very little about my roots and regretted not having spoken more about this with them. Inspired by this realization, I set about to find my ancestors and the stock from which I sprang.
I have been seriously researching my ancestry for several years now and I am continually amazed with the camaraderie and generosity of the genealogical community. I hope your endeavor to find and understand your own family history has been or will be as fun and rewarding as mine.
Practical Genealogy seeks to help fellow genealogists find the necessary resources to grow their own family trees.
This is a work in progress, so please contact me if you have any information that might help round out the picture.
