Note: Die Trauner Industrialisierung

Note: Josef's brother Ernst below took care of Joseph & Fritzi when they got to USA, and because of him they lived very well. Larchmont is a well beautiful suburb of NYC on the water. Fritzi spent her life across from the Long Island sound in a nice home with antique Austrian furniture and an amazing glass collection. She had maids, a gardner, a beautiful garden, lots of friends and nurses who loved her. She played bride until she was about 90. Most of Fritzi and her husbands' Glass collection was sent to London for safe keeping with her sister and was not taken by the Germans.. as Hans Freund wanted them to leave sooner. This was a very important glass collection in which all or most was sold at Sotheby's in London in the past few years. It was known as the Fritzi and Josef Mahler Collection

web site OR Wikipedia ".. Gustav Mahler (relative of Fritz Spiegl on Geiringer page) was best known during his own lifetime as one of the leading orchestral and operatic conductors of the day. He has since come to be acknowledged as among the most important late-Romantic composers, although his music was never completely accepted by the musical establishment of Vienna while he was still alive. Mahler composed primarily symphonies and songs; however, his approach to genre often blurred the lines between orchestral Lied, symphony, and symphonic poem.."
