She was simply admirable in the way she took and adjusted to all the excitements of these days and the drastic changes in her daily life and circumstances. She did not complain and was not sorry for herself and said she never will, if only the family gets safely through this ordeal - and she kept this promise to the end of her days. At her arrival in Paris she was excellently and most kindly taken care of by George Khuner and his wife Marianne who had provided good and comfortable quarters for her and Leonie and Hedel in Versailles. .."
