Miss Hallie MILLER of Clarksville is visiting relatives here.
Alex BURNLEY and wife who have been for some weeks at the Red Springs are visiting relatives here on their homeward return.
Mrs. Ellen BURNLEY of Bethpage spent last week here.
Mrs. Francis DUFFER is visiting her son, R.R. DUFFER.
W. A. HALL has sold his farm here viz. To Roscoe and Frank CARR 30 acres, on the west side, to P. G. DUNCAN 20 acres on the same side to Dr. BRATTON 20 acres on the east side and all the sides end to the Willard Tobacco Co., who will divide it into lots and put up dwellings.
Miss Lizzie CARR and Leonard LEATH and wife, who have been quite sick with fever for some weeks, are now slowly improving.
Mrs. Nellie LEWIS, Mrs. Anna SCOTT and Miss Flora COX are very sick with fever.
Misses Lucy FERGUSON and Hettie Mai DAVIS left Thursday for Nashville to attend school there.
Johnnie CARR and Earnest HALLl entered school at Hartsville last Monday.
Mrs. Lela HENRY returned Monday after a short visit to her sister, Mrs. Dr. GRAY in Franklin, KY.
Miss Hattie FITTS spent a few days in Nashville last week.
Mrs. D. O. HENRY, who has been spending the summer with relatives here, left Thursday for her home in Live Oak, FLA.
Mrs. Jennie MILLER has returned to her home in Cincinnati.
Our Town sympathizes greatly with Hartsville in her loss and would say to all whom it concerns that if less smoking and carrying matches were done a great deal of burning would be avoided.

Rev. B. H. MARSHALL and Mr. EDMUNDSON went to Whits Creek Friday.

Andrew SHREEVE has returned to Greenbrier.
Mr. and Mrs. J. B. JOYNER have returned from a visit to friends at Hendersonville.
Mrs. Joicie ALEXANDER died last Friday night at her
home in Nashville after a long illness. She was 65 years of age and was born
and reared in Sumner County. Her maiden name was ELKIN and she was the wife
of the late C. S. ALEXANDER, also a native of this county and a long time
resident of Gallatin. The remains of the deceased reached here Saturday afternoon
and were conveyed to the home of her sister, Mrs. H. A. HOLMES, where funeral
services were conducted at 10:00 a.m., Sunday by Rev. W. W. PAYNE. The burial
followed at Gallatin Cemetery. The deceased leaves three children, C. S.
