Mrs. Lizzie Brizendine
Portland - Mrs. Lizzie Barber Brizendine, 86, died Tuesday night at Franklin, Ky., after a long illness. Funeral services will be at Portland Church of Christ at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. The body is at the home of a son, Fred Brizendine, Portland merchant. Mrs. Brizendine was a native of Sumner County and a member of the Church of Christ. She was a daughter of Daniel Webster and Sina Maddux Barber and the widow of George Brizendine. Survivors include another son, Claude Brizendine, San Bernardino, Calif; four grandchildren, Sgt. Larry Lane, Omaha, Mrs. R. W. Short, Portland, Me., Miss Helen Brizendine, San Bernardino, and Howard Brizendine, Portland; and six great-great-grandchildren.
