Funeral Rites for Dr. H. D. Denning
Funeral services for. Dr. H. D. Denning, 91, who died at his home here Monday following an illness of several months, were held at the local Methodist church Tuesday afternoon with the Revs. Wendell Ensor and John W. Estes officiating. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. ? B. Williams, two sons, Henry C. Denning of Owensboro; Ky., and W. M. Denning of Portland, 9 grand - children and 5 great - grand - children. Dr. Denning, a native of the 13th civil district, graduated from the Vanderbilt University Medical School in the class of 1887. He practiced his profession in and around Portland for about 35 years. He was buried with Masonic honors at Maple Hill cemetery Wilkinson Bros. & Wiseman in charge.
