This newspaper obituary was in a scrapbook presented to Kenny and Lenora Durrett from her grandmother, Mrs. Tommie (Lizzie) Briley.  Lizzie was born 20 Dec 1883 and died on 11 Jul 1966.  These obituary clippings do not have the dates;   Death dates will be supplied from the Sumner County Cemetery Book by Margaret Snider and Joan Yorgason when possible.

IN MEMORY

On April 15, 1931 the death Angel visited the home of Mr. And Mrs. Blonnie Baldridge near White House and called for its own their little daughter Dorothy Bernice, age 9 years, 6 months and 26 days. She was the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Fox of Cross Plains and Mr. And Mrs. H. B. Baldridge of near White House, Tenn.

She was a child of unusual personality and to know her was to love her. She always carried a smile for everyone, and was a very affectionate and obedient child, both at home and school. She was devoted to her schoolwork and took an active part to all school and church activities.

Her death came as a shock to the entire family and community, as her illness only covered a period of twelve days.

She leaves to morn their loss a father, mother, one sister, one brother and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted from Walnut Grove Methodist Church, Friday, April 17, at 3:00 P.M. b the Rev. C. M. Charles. Followed by burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
