ADOLPHUS RESIDENT DIES DURING WEEK
Funeral services for James A. Gaines, 81, farmer of the Adolphus community who died Monday of last week, were held Tuesday. He is survived by his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Anna Rippy, Mrs. Nona Rippy of Granite City, Ill., Mrs. Minter Graves of Sparks, GA., and Ethel Calvert of this county, and two sons, Def Gaines of Newport News, Va., and Daily C. Gaines, of this county.
* James (Jim) Andrew Gaines was born on 1 Oct 1854 in Sumner Co., TN. He died on 28 Dec 1935. He was buried in Union Chapel General Baptist Church Cemetery, Sumner Co., TN.
