FUNERAL HELD FOR HARVEY BRANDON LANE - WAS RETIRED MILL OPERATOR
Funeral services for Harvey Brandon Lane, 76, who died Monday at the Fountain Head Sanitarium, were held here at the Baptist Church Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock with the Rev. Burch Cooper officiating. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery. Mr. Lane was a native of Wilson County but moved to Portland when he was a small boy. He operated the Portland Milling Co. here for a number of years but retired several years ago. He had been in declining health for some time and had been confined to the sanitarium for three weeks. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. G. D. Moore, of Springfield, Misses Clarice and Mary Bernice Lane, of Portland, and Mrs. Harry W. Short, of Clarksville; five sons, H. E. and J. L. Lane, of Bernardino, Calif., H. S. Lane, of Gallatin, J. G. and H. B. Lane, Jr., of Portland; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Wilkinson Bros. & Wiseman were in charge of funeral arrangements.
