PAYNE - Friday morning at 3 o'clock, April 8, 1927, at the home of  Mrs. W. B. Myers at Goodlettsville, Mrs. Ann Elizabeth Milam, Payne, widow of John Adam Payne, aged 91 years. Survived by son, Reuben S. Payne of Los Angeles, Cal.; grandsons, John Adam, and Harold Payne of Cincinnati; granddaughters, Mrs. Helen Payne Wilshire of Greenwich, Conn., and Mrs. Evelyn Hunter Green of New York City. Funeral services at the residence as above this (Saturday) morning at 10:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J. T. Parsons. Pallbearers, honorary, Dr. R. W. Grizzard, Dr. Allen Grizzard, W. K. PAYNE - Thursday night, Feb. 28, 1929, at his home, five miles on Louisville Pike, William Thomas Payne, aged 68 years. Survived by brothers, J. J. and J. W. Payne; sister, Mrs. Clara Payne. Funeral services will be conducted at the home this (Saturday) afternoon at 1 o'clock, by Rev. Jim Crawford. The following will serve as pallbearers: H. A. Gourley, S. E. Gourley, W. M. Hudgens, Brady Bruce, Moray Bruce, T. S. Carr. Interment in Spring Hill Cemetery. Cole & Garrett.

PAYNE - Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock August 12, 1930, at his home, three miles on Louisville Pike (Millersville), Charles Otto Payne, aged 33 years. Survived by wife, Mrs. Cora Mai Meade Payne; sons, Charles and Norman; parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Payne. Funeral services will be conducted at the home Thursday morning at 10 o'clock by the Rev. J. W. Crawford. The following will serve as pallbearers: W. S. and J. B. Locke, S. E. Lassiter, Carlton Fulcher, James and Charles Meade. Millersville Council No. 197. Jr. O. U. A. M., will have charge of services at the grave. Interment in Spring Hill Cemetery. Cole 4 Garrett, Goodlettsville, in charge.

PAYNE - Wednesday evening at 3:45 o'clock, Aug. 5, 1931, at her home., five miles on Slater's Creek Road, Mrs. Clara Elizabeth Payne, aged 73 years. She is survived by daughter, Mrs. T. C. Crockett: granddaughter, Mrs. S. M. Long; brothers,  J. W. and J. J. Payne. Funeral services will be conducted at the home this (Thursday) afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by Rev. J. W. Crawford. Honorary pallbearers: Morey Bruce, Brady Bruce, Will Hudgins, S. E. Gourley, Howard Hull, Robert Hull. Active: Carlton Fulcher, W. J. Fulcher, W. J. Crockett, J. O. Crockett, Alvin Horner. Interment Spring Hill Cemetery. Cole & Garrett, Goodlettsville, in charge.

PAYNE - Thursday morning, August 29, 1940, at 6 o'clock, at his home, Millersville, Tenn., Jesse J. Payne, aged 72 years. Survived by wife, Mrs. Daisy Gourley Payne: grandsons, Charles and Norman Payne: brother, Joe. W. Payne: nieces: Mrs. T. C. Crockett and Mary Frances Jones. Remains are at the parlors of Cole and Garrett, Goodlettsville, where funeral services will be conducted this (Friday) morning at 10 o'clock by Rev. O. E. Hall. Pallbearers: Honorary, Tom Carr, Lonnie Eanes, Robert Fisher, Brady and Morey Bruce, Pruett Ragan, Sr., Norman Jenkins and  J. W. Patterson. Active: Walter Lee and Hilton Gourley, Pruett Ragan, Jr., Harvey and Odell Hudgens. Interment Spring Hill Cemetery, Cole and Garrett, funeral directors, Goodlettsville.

PAYNE - Thursday evening at 9 o'clock, March 15, 1945, at his home, Millersville, John Wesley (Joe) Payne, aged 79 years. Survived by daughter, Mrs. Lovell Jones, Millersville; 3 grandchildren. Funeral services Saturday morning at 10:30 at the Millersville Church of God. Interment Swift Family Cemetery, Cole & Garrett, Funeral Directors, Goodlettsville.

PAYNE - Saturday morning at 4:30 o'clock, Nov. 8, 1947, at her home, Goodlettsville, Mrs. Ella Utley Payne, survived by nieces, Mrs. Annabel Clark, Goodlettsville, Mrs. Clark Bennett, Winnetka, Ill, Mrs. Joe Hozman, Birmingham, Mrs. Harriet Utley Jones, Goodlettsville, nephews; Garland Utley, Goodlettsville, Waldo B. Utley, New Orleans, Guy B. Clark, East Orange, N. J. Remains are at the Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, where funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon, Nov. 9 at 2 o'clock by the Revs. N. Burch Tucker and S. M. Keathley. Pallbearers: honorary, Members of Woman's Society of Christian Service of the Goodlettsville Methodist Church.  Active: John Branford, W. E.
