William Scruggs
William (Oak) Scruggs, 77, of Gallatin, died April 23. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 am, at Alexander Funeral Home, with Rev. Wayne Hunter officiating. He was the son of the late William Thomas Scruggs and the late Betha Maybell Turner. He is survived by his wife, Gertie Scruggs; three sons, William Jerry Scruggs of Gallatin, Kenneth Wayne Scruggs of Gallatin and Randall Gene Scruggs of Portland; a daughter, Janet Faye Adcock of Westmoreland; two brothers, Robert Scruggs of Portland and Billy Scruggs of Portland; six sisters, Rosie Walker of Gallatin, Georgie Perry of Gallatin, Katherine Adams of Portland, Gracie McCormack of Portland, Lola Conyer of Portland, and Barbara Hoagland of Otisco, Ind.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
