The funeral of Spencer Stinson, 91, a retired Portland barber was Friday, Sept. 13, at 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Patton, minister of the church, officiating. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery. A native of Simpson County, Ky., he was born April 12, 1894, son of George and Louisa Stinson. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He is survived by his widow, Mary Lizzie Smart Stinson; two daughters, Patty Harris, Jackson, and Helen Cooper, Fairview; a sister, Grace Finn, Portland; a son in law, Harry DeLosh, Hendersonville; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
