The report of the Commissioners of the Poor was read
in open Court and ordered spread upon the Minutes of this Court and which
in words and figures is as follows,
To the Hon County Court of Sumner County, we the Poor House Commissioners
of said County beg leave to make this our report for the year ending the
30th day of September, 1894.

Sheep 18, Milck cows 4, Calves 4, Yearlings 7 Fatering Hogs 28, Pigs 20,
Three mules, Bacon 450 lbs. Lard 300 lbs. Peas 3 Bushels, Onions 15 Bushels,
Wheat 248 Bushels, Hay 20 Tons, One half acre in Sweet potatoes, One &
one half acre in irish potatoes, 500 Bundles of oats, one two horse wagon
and harness, and plenty of farming tools on the farm to answer all purposes
for farming, all of the inmates are well cared for by T. P. Dennis the
Superintendent of said farm, one hundred & fifty loads of wood, Deaths
at the county farm in Eleven months 7, white and 4 colored in all 11. Return
to you the office entrusted to our keeping we hope you will find our record
unblemished by intentional wrong and one which will meet the approval of
the Court and the people.

M.J. Hassell having this day received the majority of votes cast of the Justices present and named in the caption was duly elected Commissioner of the Poor for ensuing term vice Leroy Hoffman expired.

Whereas it has pleased almighty God to call from the walks of this life T. P. Dennis who was as

Superintendent of the Poor House, a faithful honest upright and kind official and servant who was loved and respected by all the inmates of said assylum, as well as all his friends and acquaintences.
Therefore resolved that this Court tender to his bereaved family and friends our deepest sympathy and condolences in this their hour of trouble that these resolutions be spread upon the minutes of this Court and a copy of same be furnished the family by the Chairman & Clerk of this Court
