 Xenithan was born in Rutherford Co., NC. and Caroline L. PEARSON was born in Cleveland Co., NC. Caroline was the Grandaughter of Frances (Blanton) WILKINS, PEARSON. Her Parents were Reuben PEARSON & Lucretia WINBROWN. Lucretia is a descendant of Burwell BLANTON.
 Xenithan served in Company C, 15th Cherokee Co., SC Regt. during the Civil War. Caroline L. (Pearson) BLANTON, filed, as his "Widow", for his Pension on March 31, 1919
 According to records in the Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home, Gaffney, SC. Caroline L. (Pearson) BLANTON died in the home of a Son, Otis BLANTON RFD#1, Gaffney, SC.
 The funeral was conducted by rev. T.D. GEORGE, in the home where she died.
 Xenithan & Caroline L. (Pearson) BLANTON are buried in Cherokee Co., Road 63. The Beula Methodist Church was once located here, but their is no building at this time [1999]. Only the graveyard remains.

I X. BLANTON of the County of Cherokee and State of South Carolina, being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, do therefore make, or desire _______? and deside this to be my last will and tesrament, that is to say,
      Firstly: that is to say, os to all my just debts and funeral expenses are paid, the executor of my estate, both real and personal, I give begin as follows, to wit:
To my beloved with Caroline BLANTON all that tract or parcel of land North of SARRATT's Creek" bounded by lands of
Martha SARRATT on the North and
that of Agnes BRIDGES on the East;
