week of   6  DECEMBER  2003

First things first.  At the beginning of the day, I took some photos to show the current condition.  Note the conditions around the entry gate in the above two photos and of the badly damaged stones, dug up graves, etc. in the following eight.  Vandals are doing their best to keep us from completing this project.

One of the first things we did today was post No Trespassing signs and spray paint the perimeter.  It may not help but it's all we can do.

The following photos give some idea of the progress we made today.
Note the entry gate to the rear of the first three photos and the size of the trash pile in the last two.

So long as the weather is good, volunteers meet at the cemetery on Saturday
mornings at 9 A.M. and work until about noon.  We would love to have you join us.
You need bring nothing but a desire to help preserve a bit of Harris County history
and a pair of work gloves though chain saws, gas string trimmers/brush cutters,
bow saws, rakes, shovels, etc. are helpful.

Follow our progress. . .
