ELIJAH  MISSIONARY  BAPTIST  CHURCH  CEMETERY

This church and cemetery was located deep in the area now known as Barker Reservoir close to Buffalo Bayou.  Nothing recognizable remains of the original church/cemetery and we were unable to pinpoint the location. As the photos show, take Noble Road Trail west into the reservoir from Hwy 6 (just south of the Hwy-6 and Briar Forest intersection - parking lot about 100 yds south) back approx 1.25 miles until it curves to the left (three way split with the main trail turning left). The church/cemetery was along that stretch on the left.

It's off in that directon.

Looking down from the top of the dam; the gate in the next photo is just past the trail split.

From the gate, it's a straight shot for about a mile.

This is the general area.  The church might have been here?  Sure wish I had a map that showed the location of the church and cemetery.
