She was m. to DANIEL KELLER, Sep 1 1868, & was the mother of 4 chldrn--ANNIE, BESSIE & IVAN, who are at home; & MAGGIE, m. to JOHN SCHROCK. MRS. KELLER had been ill for about 8 mths, & though she suffered greatly at times she did not complain. She was a good mother & a kind neighbor. She was a member of the Dunkard Ch. for many yrs, and the interment took place at Schrock's Ch., Sun at 2 o'clock, it was largely attended.

He then entered law dept of MI Univ, graduating Mar 25 1874; returned to Somerset & admitted to the bar May 4 1874. WERTZ IS DEAD AT BENSCREEK Well Known Civil War Vet David Berkey Wertz, one of Somerset Co.'s oldest & respected resid.s, d. of dropsy at the Wertz farm at Benscreek at 3 am this morn in his 81st yr. He had been ill a long time. Funeral serv.s will be held at Wertz home at 1 pm Thu. & will be in charge of Rev. E. M. Detwiler, pastor of Sell St. Ch. of the Breth., bur. Wertz family graveyard along the Ligonier pike. He was s/o John & Susan Berkey Wertz, b. Somerset Co. Dec 17 1838. His father was b. 1802 & his mother in 1811. D. B. Wertz was bro. of Peter Wertz, Logansport, Ind.; Jacob Wertz; Mrs. Mary Kinzey & Mrs. Susan McCreary, all of Bedford Co. He m.1st Mrs. Susan Cable, she d. Feb, 1888. 2nd he m. Susan Croyle. He is also survived by 2 dau.s: Mrs. A. L. Miltenberger & Mrs. Mary J. Anstead, both of Somerset & 9 gchldn 7 ggchldn. During the Civil War, David B. Wertz serv. as member of Co. H, 54th Reg., P.V.I., under John O. Billheimer. He enlisted in spring of 1862 & was with the reg. throughout the war. He was in the Shenandoah Valley, VA, in the summer of 1864, when he was shot through the lungs during the Battle of New Market. Following this battle, Mr. Wertz was made a corporal. He was a memb. Emory Fisher Post, G.A.R., this city, & memb. of 54th Reg. Assc. One of his gsons, Dr. Arthur Livingston is serv. as an officer in British Forces in France. David B. Wertz was for many yrs a prominent farmer & was well known throughout Johnstown, where he disposed of much of his farm product. He was a memb. of Sell St. Ch. of the Breth. & was an active worker in the Sun. School connected with the 8th Ward congregation.
