Westmoreland Co, PA. His father Elder Samuel A. Fike united with the ch Oct 1 1843 & his mother, Rachel, after her marriage
in 1843. Samuel's bro David Fike m Elizabeth Snyder & lived along rte 50 a mi or so west of Red House in Glade View.

Carl William Lewerenz, 83, who had been making his home with his son, Otto, in Neillsville, d at that home July 5 4:30 am. Funeral servs were conducted Tue Jul 8 from the Georgas funeral home & St. John�s Luth ch. Rev. William A. Lauterbach of Granton officiated. Bur Neillsville cem. Mr. Lewerenz was b Carl & Henrietta Tratzen Lewerenz in Germany on Jan 19 1864. He m Alvina Bartelt in 1890, & they came to Amer 6 yrs later, settling 1st in Tomahawk, where Mr. Lewerenz was engaged in farming & logging. They moved to a farm near Elroy in 1909 & then finally came to Neillsville in 1923. Mr. Lewerenz had been a faithful memb St. John�s Luth ch, serv also as its caretaker for sev yrs. The deceased is survived by his wife & their 2 sons, Otto & Carl, Jr., Neillsville. Also surviving are 7 gchdn & 1 ggchd. Pall bearers were: Harry Roehrborn, Henry Naedler, Albert Dahnert, John Moen, Herbert Borde & Paul Bartell, Sr. Mrs. William A. Baumann sang, accompanied by Mr. Bremer. In 1923 they moved to Neillsville & have resided here since that time. Mr. Lewerenz is survived by wife, 2 sons, Otto & Carl Jr., Neillsville, 7 gchdn, & 1 ggchd. 2 bros & 1 sis preceded him in death. Contributor's note: The Lewerenz family actually moved from Tomahawk to Elroy in 1911.
