I can't locate where I got the middle name of Robert for George Rogers

George Rogers, "moved from Bedford or possibly Howard county, Virginia to Tennessee sometime in the late 1700's" ;
Information from Linda Duke, a Rogers/Mitchell descendant; Linda notes that much of her Rogers information was shared with her by Connie Crosby in Indiana.

"George supposedly ran a ferry across the Clinch and is said to have been
married to a Cherokee. I can find no mention as to who is wife or wives were. Some say a Matilda Brown or others say Nancy Smith. Many of the family have the middle name of Smith. David and Harbert. ;
from Linda Duke.

"John David Rogers told that his grandmother "George's wife" was an Indian. George was noted to have two wives, one's name unknown, and a Nancy Lyon. Connie Reid has copies of Benjamin Hawkins' papers; Indian Agent from 1792 thru 1800. He had made a land trade with the Cherokees in 1792, a controversy arose over the Ferry on the Clinch. Blount, governor at the time, accused Rogers of being sympathic to the Indians. The Cherokee made a specific claim to the ferry. In a letter from Agent Hawkins to Rogers, he states, '...since you have a large family of Indian children, I wish they do well, and by coming to the Clinch that you do well by them ..'. George owned the land on both sides of the ferry and ran the ferry."
"In 1850, when he was eighty one years old and in failing health, he deeds this land to his sons David S. and Granvlille P. He also deeds other land to George, Jr. This is thought to be their inheritance as he only names Robert and Manila in his will." ;
from Report by Connie Crosby

Does anyone have any info that lists Joseph's siblings? W.L. Rogers also states in these letters that George Rogers married the "widow" Lyons. Widow of "General" Lyons. Her maiden name was Smith." ;
