Genealogy and family history of Cleve RAYMOND,
Anita WISER, and associated Cleve and Anita Raymond progenitors (C.A.R.P.). This
site contains information about John and William RAYMENT, original immigrants to New England in about 1653
(and, to a lessor degree, Richard RAYMOND who came even earlier). Also
contains information about James RUMNEYMARSH WISER, a grandson of Nanapashemet, the
Grand Sachem of the Massachusetts Federation of Native Americans in the early
1600s. Personal histories of many Mormon Pioneers and early Utah settlers are
also presented. Common surnames are RAYMOND, WISER, PITCHER, THOMPSON,
HENDRICKS, HAMMER, and SMITH.
Our RAYMENT/RAYMOND ancestors landed on the American continent about 1650 and settled in the northern part of Beverly, Essex county, Massachusetts at a time when it was still part of Salem, the capital of the Massachusetts Bay Colony.
