It is believed that Luther Martin Gooch was his twin brother.
There is no information on Other (Otha) Gooch, but he apparently made the move to Texas with the others.
Elizabeth Palmer mentions that his son was the editor of the newspaper in Detroit, Texas for many years. Detroit, Texas is a small town not far from Paris, Texas.
