George Washington Phillips was born in Benton County, Arkansas March 25, 1856. He married Sarah Amanda Tiner in Cook County, Texas November 2, 1876. They moved into the Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory after 1880. George Washington Phillips died June 24, 1904 in the Indian Territory.
