We believe that a Jacob Danner had four sons and a daughter while living in Pennsylvania and assume that these four sons are:

From the Pruitt Abstracts of Land Entries:
Surry Co., NC 1784-1795 , "Frederick
Danner enters 100 ac in Surry Co. on South Side of Deep Cr. borders
Fred. Shore, James Wells & his own line -#317 & 461. Also
"Frederick Danner enters 100 ac in Surry Co. on water of S. Fork of
Deep Cr., border Mathias Miller, James Reaves & James Wells;
includes"The Dutch Meeting House" #486."
In the Surry County Court Minutes of 17 November, 1787, Henry Speer vs Phil Holcomb - we find Peter Shearmon and Frederick Danner as witnesses for the plaintiff, having traveled 75 miles, 8 days. Frederick was also witness on five separate occasions from 15 February 1792 until 13 August 1794.
In the will of Peter Shermon [Shermer], dated 27
Sept. 1791 we find "Son Peter gets 200 acre home place. Wife Molly,
daughters, Barbara, Molly Groce, Margaret Shermon, Catherine Danner
[Frederick's wife] , Mary Bruce, Christina Liverton.
From the Surry Co., NC Court Minutes 1796-1800 on page 182, "A deed from Fred. & Catherine Danner to Henry Speer was proved."
Steve Russell, posting to the Baity family Genforum, notes that on "16 March 1804 - Fredrick Danner of Surry Co. gives to his son, Fredrick Danner, 70 acres on the waters of Harmons and Hertts (Hutts?)Creeks. Witnessed by David Baity and George Bates"
The Tax List 1820 for Surry County, North Carolina list several Danners. Frederick has 175 acres on Harmons Creek along with Adam who has 60 acres. John and Jacob Danner are listed as white polls but with no acreage.
The 1820 Census for Surry County shows four Danner men; Frederick, Frederick Jr., Adam and John.

page 53 #682, Nov 1821 Ordered Frederick Danner apptd ovrsr in room of David Baity, known by the name of Island Ford Road from Bryan's Rd. to Rowan Co. line.
Taxables in Surry Co., N.C. for 1835 - Huntsville District lists Frederick Danner as having 70 acres on Harmons Creek, adhacent to J[acob] Danner who has 90 acres. Harmon Creek is located in southwest Yadkin County near the boarder with Davie and Forsyth counties. Nearby towns are Courtney and Yadkinville.
The Pension File (R. 2658)
of Frederick Danner declares he "was a private in the company
commanded by Captain May of the Regiment commanded by Col. Logan in
the Kentucky Va line for 2 years". Testimony given by family friend,
Conrad Wishon, a blacksmith in Surry County:
On this the 21st day of January A.D. 1853 personally appeared
before same Samuel May, an acting Justice of the Peace in and for the
county of Yadkin and state of aforesaid Conrad Wishon who being duly
sworn according to law, on his oath say into that he has known
Frederick Danner and Catherine Danner for more than sixty five years,
that he lived a near neighbor to them during that time, that they
lived together as man and wife up to their death and were considered
and reputed by all who knew them to be man and wife, and to have been
married, that he had often heard Joseph Murphy, a minister of the
gospel, say that he married the aforesaid Frederick Danner and
Catherine Danner, That the said Joseph Murphy is dead and he further
declares that he does not believe that there is a public or private
record of the above named marriage, nor any living witness to this
fact. He further states the aforesaid Frederick Danner was during his
life a Revolutionary Pensioner, and drew a pension during his life.
He further declares that the aforesaid Catherine Danner is dead that
she died on the 17th day of July A.D. 1844 - He further swears the he
is acquainted with Adam Danner, Catherine Danner Munday, Saml.
Danner, John Danner, Jacob Danner who make the forgoing declarations
that he has known them from their infancy and that they are the
children of the aforesaid Frederick Danner and Catherine Danner , and
that the record of their births and ages as set forth in the
accompanying proofs is true and correct.
He further swears that he is an entirely disinterested witness and expects no benefit from the afore claim what ever.

Frederick died on 14 August 1839 in Surry Co., NC.
His wife Catherine passed away nearly five years later on 17 July
1844 in Taylorville, NC.
