A Memorial of Indented Deeds of Lease & Release the Lease bearing Date the Nineth and the Release the tenth Dayes of June in the year of our Ld one thousand seven hundred and twenty five made between Robert Westropp of Firtanebeg [Fort Anne] in the County of Clare Esqr of the one part George Colpoyes of Ballycarr and Edmond Browne of Ballyslattery both in the said county Esqrs of Clare Esqrs of the other part the said Release reciting that pursuant to Marriage Articles made before the Marriage of the said Robert Westropp with Ann his now Wife and of five hundred pounds paid said Robert Westropp by Wm Smith said Ann�s father in consideration whereof and of her Dower and thirds wch she may hereafter claim in case she survived the sd Robert Westropp for him his Heires and Ass[igns] hath Granted Released and Confirmed unto the said George Colpoyes & Edmond Browne all that and those the Towns and Lands commonly called and known by the names of Firtanebegg & ... Containing by common estimation two hundred thirty eight acres profitable land plantation measure be the same more or less lying and being in the Barony of Tulla and County of Clare and all the west part of the Farmtown and Lands of Clonemoynas the same is now Divided and poss[ess]ed by Robert Westropp situate lying and being in the Barony of Bunratty and said County of Clare with the Buildings Woods and all other Improvements and Appurs thereunto belonging and all the estate Right Title Intd of said Robert Westropp to the premes to have and to hold the Lands hereby granted to said George Colpoyes & Edmond Browne their Heires & Assigns for the uses hereafter mentd that is to say to the use of the said Robert Westropp during his Natural Life without Impeachment of waste and after his Decease to the use of Ann Westropp during her natural life and after her Decease to the use of any son of said Robert Westropp on the body of said Ann the elder to be always preferred before the younger and for want of such Issue to the Heirs of the said Robert Westropp and in said Deed of Release whereis? a Clauses of Levying a Fine and affecting further assurances in law and the said Deeds are witnessed by Thomas Hickman of Tomerloe Gent Joseph Torpin and Morgan Clune both of Firtanebegg Farmers all in the said County of Clare and this Meml is witnessed by the said Thomas Hickman and George Browne of the City of Dublin Gent Ed Browne ... signed and sealed in the presence of us - Geo Browne � Thos Hickman.

The above named Thomas Hickman maketh oath that he saw the above named Thomas [ should be Robert?] Westropp Geo Colpoyes & Ed Browne duly sign Seal & Execute the Deeds of Lease & Release whereof the above writing is a Meml and further deposes that he saw the sd Edmond Browne Sign & Seal the said Meml and that the name Thomas Hickman subscribed as witness to the said Deed & Meml is this Deponent�s handwriting.
