A memorial of an indenture bearing the date second day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and thirty eight made between Mrs Anne CROKER of Belcamp Cottage in the Co of Dublin
widow & relict of Thomas Swan CROKER late of Clonliffe in the Co of Dublin Esq deceased William Swan
CROKER of Woodbine Cottage in the Co of Meath Esq only son heir at law of the said Thomas Swan CROKER
of the one part and John GREEN of Clonliffe Parade in the Co of Dublin Esq of the other part reciting
that by certain articles of agreement bearing date the first August 1822 made between Frances BATEMAN
of Bootestown in the County of Dublin widow of the one part and the said Thomas Swan CROKER (since deceased)
of the other part the said Frances BATEMAN for the considerations therein mentioned did covenant and agree
to and with the said Thomas Swan CROKER his Exors adminors assigns that when and so soon as she should be
thereunto legally entitled or enbled so to do as therein mentioned she the said Frances BATEMAN should grant
and execute unto the said Thomas Swan CROKER his executors administrators and assigns agreed and effectual
lease or demise of all that those the dwelling house offices gardens front gardens and premises situate at
Clonliffe Parade in the Co of Dublin therein and thereinafter more party mentioned and deconbed? and which
were then in actual possession of the said Thomas Swan CROKER to hold unto him the said Thomas Swan CROKER
from the said 1stof August 1822 for the term of nine hundred years at the yearly rent of forty-five pounds
the late Irish currency and receiting by indenture of marriage settlement bearing the date 17th June 1826
and executed on the occasion of the intermarriage of the said Thomas Swan CROKER with Anne WOLFE now Anne CROKER
who was the second wife of the said Thomas Swan CROKER the said house and concerns at Clonliffe Parade were
settled and assured to the use of the said Anne from and after the decease of the said William [recte Thomas Swan]
CROKER party thereto without lawful issue during his life with remainder to the issue of the said intended
marriage with remainder in default of issue to the heirs of the said Thomas Swan CROKER and reciting that
the said Thomas Swan CROKER deceased on or about the 26January 1837 intestate leaving the said Anne CROKER
party thereto his widow and relict and the said William Swan CROKER party thereto his only child and heir at
law being issue of his former marriage leaving no issue by his second marriage And reciting that the said
Anne CROKER the widow and William Swan CROKER only son and heir at law of the said Thomas Swan CROKER were
entitled in the said deed of 17June 1826 or as the only next of kin of the said Thomas Swan CROKER to the
benefit and advantage of said agreement so made by the said Frances BATEMAN and to the said houses and
lands of Clonliffe thereby agreedto be demised for the residue of the term and at yearly rent therein mentioned
And reciting that the said William CROKER had applied to the said John GREEN a party thereto for a loan of
the sum of one hundred pounds sterling to be secured by mortgage of the said lands and premises and the said
Anne CROKER at the request of the said William CROKER consented to join in the execution of said presents in
order to have such estate as might be vested in her in the premises to which application the said John GREEN
had consented the said mortgage of which this is a memorial witnessed that for and in consideration of the
sum of one hundred pounds sterling to him the said William CROKER in his hand paid by the said John GREEN
the receipt thereof is thereby acknowledged and in consideration of the sum of ten shillings to the said
Anne CROKER in hand paid by the said John GREEN They the said Anne CROKER and William CROKER granted bargained
sold assigned transferred and made over unto the said John GREEN his exeutors administrators and assignees all
that and those the dwelling houses offices front garden and premises situate at Clonliffe Parade aforesaid being
that part of the lands of Clonliffe in the county of Dublin aforesaid bounded on the North by the holding formerly
in the possession of James KELLY gent on the South and East by the lane or passage and on the West by the High Road
which said premises extends from North to South to wit from front to rear Three hundred and seven feet from East
to West to wit in width front and rear three hundred & seven feet & from East to West to wit in width in front &
rear Fifty-nine feet be the said ad measurements or any of these more or less with the walls & pailings bounding &
enclosing said premises said pailings however being in common with said James KELLY & his assignes as more party
described and delineates in a map of said premises traces on original at scales & in as full and ample a manner as
the same were lately occupied by one Thomas NOWLAN & were lately occupied by the said Thomas Swan CROKER & are now
occupied by John WISDOM Esqr together also with full & free liberty for the said John GREEN his exors admors &
assigns & his & their servants and work people & use or enjoy the carriage road or passage leading from the high
road in the front of said premises into the demesne of Clonliffe into the respective holdings of Messers STUDDART
BURNETT
WILLIAMS and JOURNEAUX & from whence there is a gateway or passage leading to the respective holdings formerly
in the possession of James KELLY or Thomas Swan CROKER at the rear of their gardens which passage terminates at the
pailing which divides said two rear gardens of Messrs CROKER & KELLY & which said last mentioned gateway or passage
to the like width to said other holdings is also given and included in said demise in which said lease however was
to be reversed like liberties for the said Frances BATEMAN her exors admors or assigns ... & their undre tenants
as also for the said James KELLY to use & enjoy the said carriage road passage & gateway which said premises are
situate lying in the parish of Saint George Barony of Coolock & Co of Dublin aforesaid all houses cottages and
outhouses edifices liberties privilages advantages and emoluments whatesoever respectively belonging or in any
wise appertaining and the reversion and reverious remainder and remainders yearly and other rents issues and
profits of the said tenements and premises and all the estate right title interest use trust claim and demand
whatsoever of the said Anne CROKER and William CROKER of and to the said tenements and premises together with
the benefit and advantage of the said agreement of the first day of August one thousand eight hundred and twenty
two and all title deeds evidences and muniments of title relating to the said premises in the hands power or
custody of the said Anne CROKER and William
To hold the said dwelling house offices gardens lands and premises
unto the said John GRENE his executors admors and assigns for and during the rest residue and remainder of the
said term of nine hundred years so agreed to be granted by the said Articles of first August one thousand eight
hundred and twenty-two Subject to yearly rent in said Articles mentioned ans subject to the proviso or condition
of redemption therein mentioned. The execution of which said deed and of this memorial by the said Wm Swan CROKER
respectively is witnessed by James ARMSTRONG of Cottage Place in the City of Dublin writing clerk and James HENEY
of the city of Cashel in the county Tipperary Gentleman and the execution thereof by the said Anne CROKER and of
the above memorial respectively is witnessed by the said James HENEY junior and Sally HAGARTY of Balbriggan in the
County Dublin servant to the said Anne CROKER
