Notes:

Knockahouly:Apparently either of two present townlands in Kilmonoge civil parish, Knocknahowla Beg or Knocknahowla More.
Andrew Drinan(e):Proprietor of the South Gate Porter Brewery, Cork City. He died in 1802 and is buried in Tracton churchyard. He held various parcels of land in the area south of Cork City, including a dairy farm at Raffeen, Carrigaline. He was probably the son of the Thomas Drinan who served as a land agent and rent-collector to the Lords Shannon, mainly in Kinalea and Kerrycurrihy baronies.
James Nash:Probably of Bridge Street, Limerick, and of the Catholic Nash family of Askeaton.
Richard Bungane:Not identified.
Killmoney:Officially spelt Kilmoney, a civil parish consisting of a single townland also called Kilmoney. Part of the townland constitutes the Main Street of Carrigaline village.
Earl of Middlesex:Charles Sackville (died 1769), who married Grace Boyle, daughter of the second Viscount Shannon.
Knocknamana:Officially spelt Knocknamanagh, townland in Tracton civil parish.
Knocknaskehy:Knocknaskehy and Curragh were apparently local names for what was later called Hill Farm, a substantial part of the townland and civil parish of Kilmoney. Curragh does not seem in this case to be the Curra, a townland in Kinure civil parish that is just to the east of Knocknohowla Beg.
Farrenbrien:Either of the townlands of Farranbrien East or Farranbrien East, Tracton civil parish.
Keellnaclashy:Probably the same as Ballinaclashet, a local name for part of Knockacullen and Tonabuska townlands, Kinure civil parish. A Thomas Drinan held over 200 acres here at the time of Griffiths Valuation, 1851.
Thomas Drinan(e):Probably the first son born to Andrew Drinan and his wife Mary Mehegan. The boy probably did not live to adulthood.
Richard Beecher:Of Hollybrook, Abbeystrowry civil parish, Skibbereen. The Earls or Viscounts Shannon (Boyles) were landlords of both Tracton and Abbeystrowry, and the Beechers had long been principal tenants of the Boyles in the Skibbereen area.
Thomas Owgan:A Thomas Owgan served as Mayor of Cork in 1777.
