The T-33 was hauled back from an Aux Field west of Williams Air Force Base after Ken Roberts and his instructor forgot to gangload the fuel switches and ran out of petrol during a go-around. They went off the end of the runway and under a barb wire fence. The wire came up over the top of the blown canopy - notice that the canopy came down on top of the vertical stabilizer! |
