Reunion Sub-Committees & Chairs for 50th reunion
Committee Responsiblities: Locating Classmates+: Contact former classmates and confirm mailing address, phone...enter this information into the alumni database. Keep web site current. Finance: Maintain the class checking account. Pay bills related to reunion. Deposit receipts. Printed Materials: Design, print and mail all mailings, post cards, business cards, invitations, etc. Catering/Drinks: Locate bids for catering, select caterer and meal plan. Maybe design/print drink tickets. One-day liquor license - if necessary. Media/Publicty: Coordinate newspaper, radio, tv, cable message channel, electronic signs, listing date of reuntion and who to contact. Also contact the school - to let them know this information. Entertainment: Organize music, DJ, Band for reunion event. Venue: Selecting Venue. Establishing that all regulations are met (necessary? security, bartenders). Making sure all audio/video equipment will be available. If risers needed for Photograph... Program/Prizes: Determine the prizes that will be awarded and type of award. Establish a way to determine the winner. Purchase/locate/make the awards. Extra Events: Friday night Football game, Bon-fire party Decorations: duh Photography: Group photo - risers needed? Memory Album: Type and print memory albums listing names and information of classmates. This information should have been provided by returned questionairs/invitations. Video slideshow: Create VHS/DVD video slideshow with photos from school, past reunions, and now. Establish that the correct audio/video equipment will be available. Registraion Table: Organize a team of people who agree to work the registration table the evening of the reunion. Create a check-in process. Organize a packet with nametags, memory book, door prize entry form +. Registraion Mail: Receive iniviation returns, cash receipts, questionairs. Organizate the distribution of these materials to correct person. Hotel Arrangements: Contact local hotel(s) setting up special rates for our out-of-town guests. Clean up: Establish a team to stay and help pick up after reunion
