The library and archives has thousands of letters, diaries, personal papers, photographs, newspapers, obituaries, and much, much more! These resources will help you research the people and places of Anoka County. The library is used by students from kindergarten to college for help with school projects. Genealogy is a popular subject for research in the archives. Our library specializes in Anoka County resources. A librarian is available to assist patrons.

Manuscript Files These contain everything from diaries, family photographs to newspaper clippings, hand written notes to letters, play programs to personal journals, advertising to compiled histories, and much more! All indexed by surname and topic.
Photograph Files These are arranged by topic and community. Topics include: Street scenes, farming, homes & residences, businesses & firms, transportation, portraits, clubs & organizations, military, schools, fairs & parades, recreational areas, industries, rivers, logging, and more. The photograph collection is currently at about 7,000 cataloged photos from the earliest days of Anoka County to today.
