                   Served in Company C of the First Arkansas Cavalry, CSA.   Was in the mercantile business
                     in partnership with A.S. LAYTON.  For many years he served as President and Vice President
                     of the Miners and Citizens Bank.

                     Helen applied for pension in 1928.
