Eliza Hinnershitz (1835-1922), shown here probably in the late 1870s, was born in Tuckerton a couple of miles south of the Rickenbach boatworks. Her father William Hinnershitz had a large farm and homestead. A portion of this land was set aside for a Lutheran church (Hinnershitz Church) and cemetery, where most of her and husband James Rickenbach's families are buried.
