Lizzie Noecker (1870-1900) married Curtin Rickenbach on May 31, 1890. In August 1900 on a trip back to Camden NJ from Rickenbach Station with her family, Lizzie became sick after eating improperly cooked pork and died soon after only six years after her youngest daughter May was born. Lizzie's father, Jarred (Yorett) Noecker, worked with Curtin at the drydock.

 

 

 

 

 

Lizzie may have had a sister (or perhaps cousin) named Minnie P. Noecker. Minnie was a schoolteacher teaching in Bernville, and lived in Millersburg. A newspaper article from the Morning Herald Newspaper dated 8 May 1890 mentioned that “ Miss Minnie P. Noecker wins the most popular lady teacher in Berks County”. The article had a lithograph of Minnie which was nearly identical to the photograph below. Interestingly, this photograph was placed next to Curtin Rickenbach’s photo in an old family album
